History

ParameterFleroviumCarbon
HistoryThe element Flerovium was discovered by Yuri Oganessian et al.(JINRinDubna) in year 2004 in Russia. Flerovium derived its name from Flerov Laboratory of Nuclear Reactions, part of JINR where the element was synthesized; itself named for Georgy Flyorov, physicist. The element Carbon was discovered by Egyptians and Sumerians in year 3750 BCE. Carbon derived its name the Latin word carbo, meaning 'coal'.
