Sophia High School, Bangalore is a Catholic Institution founded by Mother Andersson of the religious order of the sacred heart. The sisters of the society of sacred mother, mother Catherine Andersson, mother Ivy Bourke and mother Dorothy Bullen began the school under the name Convent Of Sacred Heart with just 17 kids.
In 1957 the school name was changed to Sophia High School. Nursery classes was introduced in 1969. First batch of ISC, 51 students graduated in 2002.

Admission Criteria
- Admission is open for girls who have pass certificate in ICSE and CBSE board in class X.
- Candidates must have passed the Class X equivalent examinations from other recognized boards in India and abroad. Candidate must have passed in 5 written subjects including English and 4 other subjects in one and the same sitting
Admission Procedure
- Parents or students have to submit the filled form
- Class 9th, 10th preboard and X final exam market sheet attested by the school principal have to be submitted along with the form
- Students have to submit the form on the day after the announcement of board results between 9am to 2:30pm at the school office.
- Students will be informed about the admission through SMS within a day after submission of application forms
- Parents who have received the sms – Parents or students have to bring the following documents along with 2 photocopies
- Pan Card
- Residential Address Proof
- 2 Passport size photographs of parents
- Both parents have to accompany war to attend the interview with the principal along with the original and photocopies of the documents mentioned above.
