Online Counseling will be conducted by West Bengal Medical Counseling committee (WBMCC). Admission Committee will conduct Counseling for the West Bengal state Quota Seats/Government Seats and Private Management Quota seats in Medical and Dental Colleges in West Bengal for MBBS and BDS courses. Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) organises National Eligibility and Entrance Test Medical Entrance Exam Under Graduate (NEET-UG) every year for admission to any graduate medical course in government or private medical colleges. Admission UG courses MBBS and BDS to All India Medical and Dental Colleges approved and recognised by MCI and DCI is through NEET UG.
For the admission in academic session 2018-19, the CBSE conducted the NEET (UG) 2018 entrance test on 7th May 2018. NEET UG 2018 result was announced on June 2018. As part of the NEET UG result CBSE provides marks scored and All India Rank (Percentile secured) to the candidates.

Eligibility Criteria for admission to West Bengal Medical and Dental Colleges – UG Courses MBBS & BDS
- Be a Citizen of India
- Students applying for NRI seat should be Non Resident Indian or children of a non resident Indian
- Should be of atleast 17 years of age on the 31st December of the academic year for which the admission are being conducted
- Candidate should have resided in West Bengal for 10 years continuously as on 31st Dec 2017 or candidates who are not residing in West Bengal but whose parents permanent residence is West Bengal

- Choice Filling and Locking of choices – Candidates have to indicate their order of choices of courses and colleges online. The choices submitted and saved by you will be locked by the system at 4.00 PM of the last date of locking.
- Process of Seat Allotment in Round 1 – Admission committee shall prepare merit list as per the rule for the eligible candidates who have applied using the application form released by the West Bengal Medical Counseling committee.
