In class X, Students will be assessed on the Scholastic Area, co-Scholastic Activities and Discipline (Attendance, Sincerity, Values).
The CBSE students have to study 5 subjects and 1 vocational subject in class 10th as part of Scholastic Area.. CBSE has made it compulsory for class 10 students to appear for a vocational subject as an additional course.
Class IX and X is a composite course. Students therefore should take only those subjects in class IX which they intend to continue in Class-X. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) follows a curriculum for Class 10 students that includes a range of compulsory and optional subjects.

Overall Assessment Pattern
In each subject student will get marks out of 100. Students have to secure 33% marks in board examination and internal assessment separately in each subject. Refer to the below table for overall assessment pattern for Languages, Science, Mathematics and Social Studies.
